Creating this blog is my big step into the "cyber-world".... I am excited to think out loud and hopefully get response from others who are interested in a creative life.
Today my list contains getting advertising placed for my alterations business. I need to make money to support my "habits" and hemming, mending, sewing, putting on military patches, you name it, brings in a gentle but steady stream of "coke and hair-ribbon money" as my friend, Mary, calls it. When I finish that, I will go back to working on making curtains for my dining room and living room. I made curtains for the kitchen a couple days ago. My goal has been to use only what I have in my fabric stash and so far, so good! Our house is old military base housing and so is pretty bland. I have decided to think outside the box for all my decor...not willing to settle for going to the store to find accessories, etc.
HI, Karen,
ReplyDeleteI love to read blogs and I will enjoy yours. Maybe I can be your first follower. I have a blog too. Jancalligrapher.blogspot.com. An Etsy store
and just since last night, a website: Jandesigns.net. The web needs more work but my neighbor Donna is a wonder so we are working on it.
Miss you. Still thinking about your journal page.
Good job, Karyn! I will bookmark you in my blogs to read. I am slightly addicted to craft women blogs. I tried writing my own blog once - realized I lead a boring life (which is just fine with me). Take care. Cami
ReplyDeleteGreat start Karyn. I'm looking forward to seeing how you grow.
ReplyDeleteLooks nice, sis, I look forward to watching the topics and maybe just maybe I just will comment now and then.
ReplyDeleteKaryn this is great! Hopefully you will inspire me to start something new this year in my own little life. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou've earned a new name -- Cyber Grammie! I'm impressed.
