Well, this was a challenge since neither of us have worked on watercolor portraits in a long time! Back in the mid 1990's we took a full week workshop with Jan Kunz to learn how to paint watercolor portraits. So, Mom, at least pulled out the old class notes --I just started slinging paint hoping that something would come back to me. Maybe when we hit the next "w-c/face/figure" I will get my notes out and take the challenge more seriously. Mom's picture is the little boy, mine is the partial face. (is that cheating?)
