Wow...it has been nearly a year since I last posted....where has the time gone?! I've moved since that last last post and now my Mother ("Mom"), my husband and I share a lovely house. There has been a lot to do to get settled but I think we finally are getting our nest all fluffed just so.
Mom and I have a studio together and have decided to take a challenge to do a creative thing each day. I found a book while visiting in Virginia in February that is just that...a 365 day challenge. I have been pondering it and have decided to make 365 little slips of paper with various "starters" on each one. there are 135 with a word, 80 with the word 'verse' which means 'choose a Bible verse and do a calligraphy piece of some sort', 80 slips say 'doodle/desgn' and that means just what it says--create a doodle or a design, and the last 80 have the words 'w/c//face/figure' which means 'create a water color of a face or a figure' I've printed out my list and now will cut them apart, put them in a jar or basket and hopefully every day for the year to come I will pull out a starter and Mom and I will do our best to be creative. I'm hoping to make a documentation of the project here on my blog. All of this is to say out loud what my intent is with the hope that it will keep my feet to the proverbial fire. Check in and comment on what we are up to, ok?
