Eleventh Day

Wow are we scooting along!  Eleven days!!
Today's frame is "doodle/design."  Good frame for a busy weekend.  This 'every day' thing is definitely kinda squishy for the two of us.--we are hoping to be more disciplined, but for Mom the yard work sings a siren song and I am ensnared with sewing, sewing, sewing in the pursuit of a personal wealth enhancement scheme. (I should be ashamed, but I am not.  The income affords some elbow room to indulge my art and sewing habits--this is a good thing--- without sinking the family ship of state.)
OK: here is Mom's doodle

She didn't know what to do and so just started writing and one thing led to another.  She begs me to say that she isn't so utterly narcissitic as the subject may appear.  She "was just having a brain fade."
I had decided to do a decorated versal letter, but didn't want to get too fancy and intricate so I kept it simple and un-incumbered with fancy-ness.

The vine-y detail came from a doodle I made during the sermon this morning (OOPS...bet I am not supposed to admit to that vice....I was listening!)  Oh, and when asked by beloved Mother what the "M" stands for, she interjected, "Mother??"  "Well, I just picked a letter and when I was trying to think of why I chose this one and what it could mean I did think of "mother" because of the little bird on her nest... and then of my Mother, who is definitely a wonderful example of what a ideal mother should be. God bless her for her "mother-ness" which is in so many ways a picture of the "mother-ness" our Heavenly Father has for us.

Come Play with me!

Life is ART--there is beauty everywhere that needs to be looked at and appreciated. Yeah, there is plenty of bad stuff in the world, but God tells us to think on whatever is pure, lovely and of good report (Philippians 4) so I am going to obey...won't you come with me?! Let's make and do things that are beautiful, lovely, fun....
