There aren't many things one can create with a sewing machine for gradeschool and teenage boys, so before "Delightful Granddaughter" gets too old for the gifts a sewing Grammy can give, I offer up photos of what I have been preparing for her Christmas gift. Her doting "Auntie Lisa" (and the men of her household) are giving "D.G." an American Girl doll that looks like her ("D.G.", not "A.L.") ....
Included in this wave of sewing creativity are a couple things Mom made....

little jumpers from outfits made for DG in time past |
For DG's BIG # 6, I created a princess dress and cape for her to play dress up. Now her dolly will be able to wear a (nearly) matching dress. I didn't try to make the cape...scraps were too small. sigh.

The ruffles on the back are a sheer with sparkles--oohlahlah! |
While I have been beavering away at this wardrobe, Mom has been sewing pajamas for the boys of DG's household. This critter is what she has made for the baby brother...Mom has sworn off ever making a stuffed animal again. Putting the head on this one about sent her around the turn.
