DAY 18

The frame for today:  "cube"
Both Mom and I decided to move into the 3rd dimension with this one.  It was a companionable day working on our projects.  Definitely out of our normal zone.  But FUN!!!
Mom decided to make a cube that defines itself.  Makes me smile to see her no-nonsense approach to the problem.

I chose to use some cast-off practice watercolor paintings, cut and folded them into cubes and used fishing line, beads and a bit of craft wire to create a mobile. I haven't made one of those since college art days.  It is definitely tricky to get it to balance.  I am not sure I totally succeeded in that aspect, but for rescuing the otherwise crummy watercolors, I am pleased.  The little cubes and squares highlight the interesting aspects of the paintings.

Come Play with me!

Life is ART--there is beauty everywhere that needs to be looked at and appreciated. Yeah, there is plenty of bad stuff in the world, but God tells us to think on whatever is pure, lovely and of good report (Philippians 4) so I am going to obey...won't you come with me?! Let's make and do things that are beautiful, lovely, fun....
