19th Day--"Doodle/Design"

Mom begged to use the plan she is working on as her frame for today --"it qualifies as a design, doesn't it?!" Ok...I think so.  We made a foray to the fabric store on Garland "Sew Easy Two" a couple weeks ago and so she is gearing up to make a quilt to use as her bedspread to set the decor in her room.  I am going to save the surprise of colors for when she gets some blocks made. (her 365 contributions may be steps of her quilt progress in the weeks ahead)

I am gearing up to go to Letters of Joy Calligraphy conference in Edmonds WA tomorrow. I was dealing with all my money (many customers pay me for sewing in cash) and realized it would be nice to have a decent coin purse.

I really like my regular wallet, but it's coin compartment is a royal pain. So, I used the "design" aspect of our frame for the day to create a wee coin purse.  Think I should make some to sell.  It is really great because it will squeeze open, coins on the flap for seeing/picking and closes snug so they don't scatter when the purse is tipped or turned.  I will try to give an evaluation after I use it this weekend at all the art supply booths. (Shivers of excitement!!!!)  More creativity will be on tap when I get back from the conference.  "Just you wait!!"

Come Play with me!

Life is ART--there is beauty everywhere that needs to be looked at and appreciated. Yeah, there is plenty of bad stuff in the world, but God tells us to think on whatever is pure, lovely and of good report (Philippians 4) so I am going to obey...won't you come with me?! Let's make and do things that are beautiful, lovely, fun....
