"verse"

I have been thinking about a focus for the new year in my calligraphy.  Have decided I should polish my skills in Foundational hand.  It is very simple and un-adorned, but requires careful thought about proportion and spacing, in particular.   I decided to begin with this.  It will be interesting to see how far I have gone when I try it again next winter.
