Another day--gray outside, but colorful inside! I have finally finished my living room curtains and Beloved Spouse hung the rod for me. Not perfect, but the price is right and I reeeeally like them better than the skinny, rummply metal blinds. (Previous tenants must have had children or cats who wrinkled the slats and tore the strings. grrrr!)
Don't you just love the stocking feet of Beloved Spouse ? And isn't that Doggie Boy (usually addressed as "Boz" or "Bozwell") the most adorable dog in the house?! I think so!
I have been working on some quilted casserole carriers for my daughter. I am thinking about mooching some of the leftover fabrics to create a purse or a tote bag. One of the prints in particular is a great one of coffee cups and the companion fabrics are pretty rich "go-alongs."

I will work on the casserole thingys and then tackle a royal blue knit dress. Fabric and pattern have been kicking around for more than a year!
Time for a cup of coffee and then a shower ---yikes! Half the day is gone already! It is nearly 10 AM and here I am in my robe...having been sidetracked by an art project. (see the sidebar)
Tah, tah!

  1. Love the pop-up books, Karyn! I'm glad you will be able to come to the S&S meeting next week. Maybe you could bring the book? And, I'm wondering what you thought of your trip to Top Stitch? There is another new fabric store in town mentioned at www.pennycarnival.typad.com. Check it out!

  2. Top Stich store is very narrow (in style)in their choice of product, but what they have is very nice (a bit price-y for me). Anyone under 50 would probably love the selection--prints are very trendy (nice, but not my first choice...mired in the dark ages as I am :) ) Will bring paper engineer book to S & S. Thanks for the lead on the other store. Will check it out. See you Tuesday!

Come Play with me!

Life is ART--there is beauty everywhere that needs to be looked at and appreciated. Yeah, there is plenty of bad stuff in the world, but God tells us to think on whatever is pure, lovely and of good report (Philippians 4) so I am going to obey...won't you come with me?! Let's make and do things that are beautiful, lovely, fun....
