Today's frame: "bless" We both spent a while trying to come up with a plan. I raced off to my Calligraphy Conference with just the idea percolating. Mom stayed home and put pencil to paper. I intended to post this yesterday, but even today, hers seems very apropos the final justice dealt to the most visible and notorious terrorist of our time.
Mine uses as a creative spark an alphabet my friend, Bridget, the amazing calligrapher, created. Hers is far more polished and spontaneous. The big swishy capitals are my attempt to imitate her work. The italic lettering is just more practice. I realize as I worked so small that I need lots more time working with a much bigger pen nib so I can get the letterforms into my kinetic memory. (or as another calligrapher friend calls it "a mental road map")
